ABOUT

My preferred medium is drawing, experimenting with different materials and mediums on paper as well as traditional medium etchings.

However, I have spent most of my career painting in oils and mastering watercolor painting.

These skills have changed my genre of drawing, more recently applied to canvas, combining the three mediums. Now rethinking the notion of drawing – painting and adding no limitation to the mediums.

Working from my own photographs and on-site sketches, I explore and embrace the subject, often reinvestigating and reinterpreting the tradition of creating a realistic painting - drawing.

My work consists of many small fragmented focal details as opposed to one single obvious view. In doing this I like to play with the positive and negative images of nature.

My subject matter is that of the exploration, thought the forests of our indigenous landscapes. Where I find my inner soul of peace and tranquility.
